Be sure to read the general conditions needed to participate in our projects!

The list of summer campsites will be updated soon. Stay tuned for updates on our site!

This spring we released the new Great Baikal Trail bulletin, the 14th of its kind. In this issue you’ll find an interview with GBT’s director Elena Chubakova, American trails specialist Robert Birkby’s opinion on trail building, an article by Alexei Tvorogov, representative from GBT’s partner, En+ Group, and also articles from some of the volunteers and leaders of our organisation.
You can download the bulletin here.

April seems to be a month of travelling to different towns and countries for the volunteers and colleagues of GBT. We’ll write about all of these in turn, but meanwhile there is news of a whole delegation from GBT and our closest partners who went to Moscow to a round table discussion with the public chamber of the Russian federation. The subject in question was trails; they’re finally being discussed in Russia at a high level.

The GBT Winter Project took place from the 18th-27th of March, although truth be told this year it was hardly a ‘winter’ project, as Spring was coming into her own both here in Irkutsk and on Baikal. A large and friendly team gathered, made up of 12 people who had come from different towns across Russia and different countries too.
