Mission

The Great Baikal Trail Association is an international, volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that works to develop, maintain, promote, and protect Russia’s first network of hiking trails, and thereby advocate for the sustainable development of Lake Baikal.

During this last year the Great Baikal Trail Association received the following financial recognition:

A grant for improvement of our leadership training program (specifically for our language interpreters and crew leaders), given to us by the Rotary Clubs here in Siberia (the Baikal-Eco Centennial chapter) and in Homer - Kochemak Bay (District 5010 in Alaska)

A grant for improving our educational programs with local children, generously given to us by the Rotary Club of West Seattle (District 5030)
