intended for beginning and skilled tourists.

There are separate boulders and fallen trees along the
trail. At the Makarova stream (at the end of the trail),
you must cross over a wooden bridge.

Level of trail
construction (what exists on the trail, what kinds of
structures, resting places, etc):
The trail is completely cleared away and marked by
badges of red paint. At the beginning and end of the
trail are rest areas and places equipped for pitching
tents.

(informational boards and signs, markings):
The trail is fully marked. Markings have been made on
trees along the trail in red paint. As of 2008,
informational boards and indexes have not been
established.

How to reach the
beginning of the trail, how to leave from the end of the
trail: It is possible to
reach the beginning of the trail by vehicle
transport--the distance from Ulan-Ude to Glinka district
is 255km. From Ulan Ude, each day (twice a day) trip-marshrutkas
run from Ulan-Ude to Ust-Barguzin (The cost in 2008:
400-500 rubles). Further, to reach Glinka district from
Ust-Barguzin (25km) it is necesary to take passing
transport or hire a car. Returning to Ulan-Ude, the
opposite applies. Travel from the beginning to the end
of the trail takes, on average, about 2 hours.

Specifics for trail
visitors (for national parks and reserves), special
rules of behavior on the trail:
The trail passes through the
territory of Zabaikalskii National Park. Visitors to the
park territory must pay (50 rubles/day/person, as of
2008). It is possible to receive permission for entrance
into the park territory and pay for the visit at the
Transbaikalskii National Park office (Ust-Barguzin
settlement), or upon direct entrance to the park, at the
control point. When on the trail, it is necessary to
observe fire prevention rules. It is forbidden to leave
trash on the trail, cut down trees or bushes, hunt
animals or birds, or gather native plant species.
